RE: Need Information 27BH G2

We have the same problem with our 23FB. It was a staple coming up. DH pulled the floor vent and looked under vinyl (it's not glued down). Used a screwdriver to pop the staple loose and replaced the vent. Pretty easy fix if you have the access. Good to catch it before it pops through the vinyl flooring and easier than taking it to the dealer.
Mine feels like a screw. I know the lino is not glued down, But I would rather the dealer fix. I will do little stuff but if there is a possibility of a mishap I will get the warranty to fix it.

I just noticed I have a screw starting to come up near my heat duct in the center of my TT. It has not broken the linoleum yet but will soon. I am going to take it to the dealer tomorrow what should I be ready for. Will they fix it now or wait for it to break through..

RE: Used Silicone on my slide, now it won't work!!!!

Silicone spray should work just fine, we use it in the automotive industry all the time to lube weather stripping around doors. You could also try a graphite lube no mess from running oil..
But for now I guess you just need get your slide working
Good luck

RE: diesel boycott tomorrow?

This is a topic that makes me sick. Some people need to run there trucks, cars bikes lawnmowers whatever. We pay more then the US does and you have our gas. Anyhow, doing a one day boycott does nothing. You have to hit the owners of the stations. Each town or city pick a few stations, this will depend on size of town or city, then stop going to those stations completely, forever. Those owners will either have to lower there prices or shut down. Get the owners whining about gas prices to there people. In sense you are forcing a a town gas war. If some trys to increase stop going there. This way people who have company gas cards can still use there cards just at differant stations. May have to drive out of the way but should work...
What are you talking about! Hope you mean company owned stations because the independents aren’t getting rich off of fuel sales! My wife has a very good friend whose family owned three stations in town and they have lost everything. The stations, their homes and their vehicles do to the losses they suffered at their stations. For the independent owners, fuel is a break even at best sale, but if there is a company owned station near them it is a loss. The company owned stations were selling fuel for as much as 30 cents a gallon less then they were buying it, just to drive them out of business, and it worked! BTH how do you figure WE have YOUR GAS? will love to here this!
Don
It is a known fact that Canada supplies the US with with a majority of there crude. Even people on here are saying this, I personally don't care whio or where it comes from but when it comes from here and you pay 1.50 less a gallon then we do it kind of hurts. My opinion.
And from people I have talked to statons here are making ok money with gas.

RE: For those who own extended warranties. Opinions please.

I got the extended on my Jayco I have 2 year bumper to bumper or toungue. And for 1100 I got an additional 5 years. If the furnace or fridge goes it will be worth it in my opinion.

RE: buying ettiquette

When we bought our TT the bank wanted 10%. we got our trailer for 19213 or some number like that. So on the paper work he showed 22213 or there abouts then show us putting a down payment of 3000 so the bank thinks there is a down payment and we got our price. In the auto and RV indusrty there is lots of things they can do to get numbers to work.

RE: RV DIRECT trailer delivery report ... Des Moines RV

There is a bigger picture here. Lets just assume he/she is telling the truth and is not a salesperson. They are just passing along a good experience. They wanted to save money they did. They were ok with paying up front for a product that they believe in. They made the drive, got there trailer and passed on their good experience. I have one last thing to say
Happy Trails ;)

RE: New to Travel Trailers

Althought not an ideal setup. You are over your weight limit. By the time you add supplies to the trailer. I would try to see if you know someone you could borrow a TV from from time to time. With that said I have been to florida a few times and if memory serves me it is pretty flat. If you were towing locally you should be ok...

Back up lights

Just wondering if TT come prewired for back up lights. I was wondering if I could just buy new taillights with built in reverse lights and install them, without running wire.

RE: Tips for pumping gas

Wow - that's interesting. Thanks for the info.
Maybe you can answer this:
some people try to squeeze every drop of gas they can into their tank just so they can round up to the next dollar. Have heard this isn't smart, because if the tank's too full, the gas on top will just evaporate. Is this true?? Thanks again.
I don't know about evaporation, but I used to be one of those who tried to fill the tank tothe top. That was a bad move. I had a Caravan with a canister in the fuel system that was filled with charcoal. What the mechanic told me was that the extra fuel didn't allow for expansion in the tank, so when the expansion took place it increased the pressure in the canister. The result was I ended up with charcoal all through the throttle body. I had a friend tell me he had a similar experience with his car. I asked, and yes he also tried to fill 'er up to the top.
Needless to say I don't fill my vehicles to the top anymore.
Well, I am a mechanic the reason you do not over fill is the reason previously mentioned. most newer vehicles have valves in the lines to prevent the gas from entering the evap system however some does get through if you overfill your tank. The evap works in away where it takes vapour from the engine and it adheres to the filter in canister. Now when you get raw fuel in there it damages the canister. Some people will complain of a fuel smell when they sart the vehicle and this is normally why. So do not over fill go to first click and stop
